9/1/2021 0 Comments What is Airsoft exactly?Paintball is a sport that you may have heard of. Airsoft is an alternative to paintball and uses smaller plastic pellets. In addition, VIP Airsoft supervises all equipment brought on the field for safety and ensures that our players have fun.
THE HISTORY AIRSOFT Don't be deceived by the sport's name. Daisy BB gun Company invented the name of the sport to market a new BBgun rifle using plastic projectiles rather than their usual metal bearings. These new plastic BBs were easier to shoot at rival players. The sport has become more complex, precise, and safer over the years. Airsoft is a military simulation sport that allows players to simulate combat using authentic military tactics and weapons. Airsoft uses plastic 6-mm round bullets instead of paintball. The guns used are fully scaled replicas of real-world weapons. The three main types of guns used are spring-powered, gas (CO2 and green gas), and automatic electric guns. Each shot must be done manually with spring-powered guns. They also have lower velocity than AEG and gas guns. Gas-powered guns can use a variety of gases to power them, including CO2 canisters and green gas. Automatic Electric Guns are guns that use a battery or motor to power the spring mechanism. They are most commonly rifle-style. VIP Airsoft prefers these guns to rent because they're more reliable and are easier for new players. Guns can generally run at speeds between 350fps-525fps or higher depending upon the gun and the manufacturer. All guns must adhere to the "orange-tip" muzzle rule from live fire ammunition firearms. Because the field is close to urban combat, all guns that play in our arena must be shooting at least 350 fps. However, any guns that run HPA must be running at 300 fps. Our technicians are on-site to adjust any guns to allow players to use them in our arena. The BBs are made of plastic and measure 6mm in size. They come in various brands and weights. VIP Airsoft custom-made our BBs for use within our arena. They are made of high-quality plastic and can be customized in color to make them stand out from the rest. This gives our players the chance to bring any unused BBs to subsequent sessions. It's a huge advantage to our players! Many players have described being hit by the BB as feeling like you're being snapped with a rubber band. You can lessen the feeling by using layers, safety equipment, and fabric. Don't forget to dress appropriately and be prepared for some serious hits. While FPS in our arena is not likely to cause a blood draw, it may leave marks for up to an hour. Remember, the better you prepare, the better your experience and the more you will benefit from it. Eye protection is mandatory for all participants, regardless of whether or not they are in play. VIP Airsoft requires that your eyes, ears, nose, and mouth be fully protected during active play. OFFICIAL AIRSOFT RULES
